On September 27, 2024, the National People's Congress Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee held a National Day symposium for overseas Chinese representatives in the Central Hall of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Huang Zhixian, a member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and vice chairman of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission, and other leaders attended the meeting.
